1. Beetlejuice (1988)

A pop culture staple and a rite of passage in the Halloween film train, Beetlejuice holds up as one of Tim Burton's finest work and has paved way to more classics like Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride, and more. The film introduced a unique genre, with room for laughs, oddity, and even dark moments.

2. Us (2019)

4. The Wailing (2016)

The Wailing was insanely successful upon its release, winning an impressive thirty awards for directing, acting, cinematography, and of course the work as a whole. It follows police officer Jong-Goo (played by Kwak Do-won) as he investigates a strange string of murders caused by a disease that drives its victims to homicidal outbreaks. It's gripping at every turn, with a strong story that you don't want to look away from.
