The multi-awarded Grammy winner’s is officially back. ‘Easy on Me’ is a tear-inducing, emotionally heavy ballad that reflected the singer’s personal life these past few years. She tells Vogue, “I just felt like I wanted to explain to [my son] through this record, when he’s in his 20s or 30s, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness.”

And as far as it was made public, Adele’s life has been quite complex, going through a disheartening divorce and finally adjusting to life as a single parent to her eight-year-old son, Angelo. Nevertheless, the star is more ready than ever to top the charts once again with a whole new album in her belt—this time, from a deeply personal and gut-wrenching narrative. She captions on her Instagram post:
“I learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way, I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I've finally found my feeling again. I'd go as far as to say that I've never felt more peaceful in my life. And so, I'm ready to release this album.”
